{"id":652,"date":"2018-03-02T08:11:04","date_gmt":"2018-03-02T13:11:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mccarronhoa.com\/?p=652"},"modified":"2022-04-06T20:36:03","modified_gmt":"2022-04-07T00:36:03","slug":"march-1st-2018-mccarron-hoa-open-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whitetree.us\/mccarron\/2018\/03\/march-1st-2018-mccarron-hoa-open-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"March 1st 2018 McCarron HOA open meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On March 1st, an open meeting was held at Living Word Church (the third in four months) to try to achieve quorum (60% of homeowners&#8217; being represented) for the purpose of attempting to vote in a full board and restore full, legal functionality to the HOA Board.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting commenced shortly after 7:00 PM.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HOA Members present:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>President Rubi Fellows<\/li>\n<li>Vice President John Anderson<\/li>\n<li>Secretary Karl Logan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also present was Cedar Management representative Scott Hines<\/p>\n<p>Also present were two uniformed CMPD officers, and approximately 20 McCarron neighbors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Agenda:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Because of previous malfeasance and rumor-mongering within the community concerning the funding and completion of the Front Entrance refurbishment, President Rubi Fellow presented a short synopsis of the process and history of that project. Questions were taken from both fellow board members and neighbors present. Most importantly, <em><strong>quorum was achieved and a vote for new board&nbsp; members was taken.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"truncate-line-truncation-wrapper\"><span class=\"truncate-line-truncation-content\"><span class=\"Linkify\">CMPD Officer J.E. Humphreys<\/span><\/span><\/span> also spoke briefly about the crime statistics in our area, and reported that McCarron is one of the safest neighborhoods around, with a low incidence of crime and officer-related calls.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New board members elected:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the combination of proxy votes and present homeowners, a majority quorum was achieved and new board members <span class=\"truncate-line-truncation-wrapper\"><span class=\"truncate-line-truncation-content\"><span class=\"Linkify\"><strong>Mike Blackburn, Jill Ingram<\/strong>, and <strong>Melissa Carver<\/strong> were elected to serve alongside current and continuing members<strong> Karl Logan<\/strong> and <strong>Rubi Fellows<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Aknowledgements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The McCarron board would like to thank all of the homeowners and neighbors who entrusted us with your proxy votes, and who came to the meeting to participate in this most important of meetings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On March 1st, an open meeting was held at Living Word Church (the third in four months) to try to achieve quorum (60% of homeowners&#8217; being represented) for the purpose of attempting to vote in a full board and restore full, legal functionality to the HOA Board.
