Neighborhood Matching Grant
We have successfully completed our Front Entrance project. The city supplied over $14,000 for us to install water meters, an irrigation system and new lighting. We were not able to apply the reflective material on curbs due to the on-going drainage problems. We hope to do so as soon as those problems are resolved.
Thanks to the many hands and generosity of in-kind contributors that made this possible.
Let your voice be heard! Community Amenity Ideas
Your HOA board is working on ideas for a community project. We would like to add a community amenity for all to enjoy. We would love to hear your ideas. Some of our thoughts are a playground, picnic area, or walking trail. Please send a quick email to Kim at kimchristenbury@gmail.com if you have any ideas. We want this amenity to be valuable to all our homeowners, so please let us know your thoughts!
Doggie Duty
We recognize the need to walk your dogs, but, please be considerate of your neighbors and respectful of our common areas at the entrance. Doggie bags are widely available and inexpensive. Please take the time to clean up after your pups.
Community Yard Sale
Please join us once again for our annual community yard sale.

The Kidney Foundation needs this info so that they can plan accordingly.
Storm Water Maintenance Project
The city Storm Water team has finished evaluating the drainage problems that have created the flooding behind the exit side monument and the standing water in the road on the entrance side.
The good news is they are finalizing plans to fix the problems and should begin within the next 90 days. The down side is the work will cause disturbance to our traffic flow while they are working. They will be using our right side lawn area to launch and store heavy equipment and must take down many trees behind the monument to access the site. They hope to not disturb the center island but will not know until they get underway. We do not have a start date yet, nor know how long the project will take. We look forward to having the problems resolved so we can continue to beautify our entrance.
Quarterly Yard Contest
We picked our winner for the “Best Fall/Halloween Decoration” for the October 20th contest. Kinton and Cindy Connelly, 8011 McCarron, were the proud winners. The winners had some great Fall plantings, and well maintained yard. Congratulations to our winners!
This quarter we are naming a “Best Flower Display”. Remember the prize is a $100 Lowes Gift Card! Put forth your best effort and on April 20th, your HOA Board Members will be reviewing all yards and will announce a winner in the upcoming newsletter.
For your information here are the dates and themes for the upcoming year’s yard contests:
June 30, 2013 – Most Patriotic Yard
September 23, 2013 – Best Fall Display
December 19, 2013 – Best Winter/Holiday Decorations
Please remember to do your best to maintain your yard including sidewalks, driveways, street frontage and curbs. As noted in their welcome letter, Cedar Management Group, will be doing an onsite inspection in April. This inspection will focus on violations of our Covenants, including excessive weeds, overgrown bushes, overdue house maintenance, among other items. Take this time to ensure your house and yard looks its best!
