-WATER UPDATE- John Anderson informed the residents in attendance of the importance of having the correct PRV valve to accommodate the pressure of the water that will be piped in from the city. An expansion tank is also recommended for proper safety. On August 8th the connection will be made from homes to the connector for city water. Every house must be within 750 feet of a fire hydrant. Final bills from AQUA have been mailed.

-FRONT ENTRANCE REPAIRS – John Anderson explained how money was spent to beautify the front entrance but it was destroyed by the city. No worry. MintHill Landscape and the city or working together to pay for any damages done as well as to replenish the look. The city will seize property and will give the HOA $1000 to place a guard rail on HOA common property.

-STREET LIGHTS – John Anderson explained that there are 22 street lights in the development. Duke Energy claims that we own 11. Andi briefly explained to residents the history of the lights. John wanted the residents informed about the proposal to remove 5 lights in the part of the neighborhood where there are only 2 occupied homes.

-COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT – Dondra Evans encouraged the residents present to consider getting involved in possible neighborhood clubs and/or community groups. Justin Reimers showed interest in starting a hiking club.

-NATIONAL NIGHT OUT – Justin Reimers informed the group about the upcoming National Night Out. It will be a big event. Spread the work.

The next neighborhood National Night Out is scheduled for August 2nd at 7:30pm. Its purpose is to raise awareness and create a sense of community. The event is sponsored by Target. Residents can get more information about the event in the crime watch newsletter or online.

-NEIGHBORHOOD GRANT – Andi gave information to the group about using a neighborhood grant to get some great things for the neighborhood. Andi polled the residents in attendance for ideas on how to use the grant to benefit the neighborhood. Possible projects mentioned were: pocket park, basketball court, community trail or walkways, greenway, etc.

-HOA DUES/TREASUER REPORT – John Anderson gave residents an overview of HOA dues. 18% of residents (out of 64 lots) are paying dues. John informed residents that he has been given permission by the HOA board to contact and hire a private lawyer to collect money from residents that are delinquent in dues.
